The First! Low Carbon, Hailiang Is Always on the Road
2023-11-01

In order to further promote the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the electrolytic copper foil industry, and to enhance the carbon emission management and standardization of emission reduction technology throughout the lifecycle of electrolytic copper foil, the industry’s first two group standards Green Low-Carbon Product Evaluation Specifications for Electrolytic Copper Foil (T/CIET 183-2023) and Industrial Carbon Neutral Energy Saving Product Evaluation Specification for Electrolytic Copper Foil (T/CIET 184-2023) were recently reviewed and published by the Standardization Working Committee of the China Association for Promoting International Economic and Technical Cooperation. Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. participated in drafting the standards and made a significant contribution.

Standardization is one of the necessary means for the industry’s normalization and healthy development. As an important organization involved in standard development, Hailiang New Energy Materials identified industry needs and standard gaps, and participated in drafting evaluation procedures, methods, and reports according to the challenges of the industry and companies. From supply chain carbon management systems, carbon footprint calculation of products, carbon emission reduction peak of products, and the evaluation process for green and low-carbon electrolytic copper foil products, an instructive and practical evaluation standard is formed, which provided a foundation for products, technical support, and industry leadership. It ensures that the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” system evaluation is well-structured and follows established standards.

In the future, Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials will align itself with the national strategic development objectives, accelerate the development of relevant standards, and further promote the transformation of the industrial sector toward low-carbon and zero-carbon development models. Meanwhile, it will continue to fulfill the mission of “promoting new materials development with green initiatives and achieving a green ecological environment with new materials”, leading the industry’s development, and contributing to achieving the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” goals.
